Reflexology

Reflexology is a complementary therapy, with it's origins in Ancient China, Egypt and India.

Working commonly on the feet, treatment can also be to hands, face or ears to help heal the whole person, not just to treat the symptoms of illness or disease.
A gentle, non invasive therapy, reflexology helps restore and maintain the body's natural balance.

Using their hands the practitioner applies gentle pressure, to parts of the foot for example, which correspond to different areas within the body. This stimulates the body to heal itself naturally and in its own unique way.

Reflexology treatment may bring relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions whilst inducing a deep sense of relaxation, relaxing body, mind and relieving stress.

Reflexology has been shown to be effective for:

  • Back Pain
  • Migraine
  • Arthritis
  • Infertility
  • Hormone Imbalances
  • Digestive Disorders
  • Stress related conditions
  • Pregnancy
  • Chronic Fatigue

Treatment is planned to each person's individual needs and lasts around an hour. Although many people have treatment for a specific condition, many continue to have regular reflexology treatments to maintain positive health and well-being.
Research into the effectiveness of reflexology for many conditions is positive, resulting in it being integrated within orthodox health care.
